Parish Life Programs

Parish Life's purpose is to promote the spirit of community by providing and supporting opportunities for fellowship in a social environment for the parish.   Areas we offer volunteer opportunities are:

Receptions/Socials

Coordinate, set up and provide assistance for events such as the parish picnic, Confirmation, Easter Vigil, Pentecost Vigil, missions, Advent, Lent, vicariate gatherings, welcome and farewells, Virtus program, as well as cultural events.

Funeral Receptions

Coordinate, set up and provide assistance for receptions immediately following funerals.

Sunday Hospitality

Serve coffee and donuts immediately following Sunday Masses.

Sunday Hospitality for new Parishioners

Serve coffee and donuts immediately following Sunday Masses at the Parish Council table to new parishioners; and assist the Parish Council representative in signing up new parishioners.

Nursery

Provide adult supervision for the Church's nursery after Sunday Masses and during events where child care is offered.

Home Visits

Visit the sick and shut-ins.

Heavenly Chefs

Prepare a dish to share or a tray of desserts for parish receptions on a rotating basis.

Meal Preparation Program

Provide meals for parishioners who are in need of short-term assistance due to illness, pregnancy, a death in the family, etc.

Helping Hands

Yard and home repair work for parishioners in need.

Wisdom Seekers

Organized events, such as luncheons at the church or in local restaurants with guest speakers, day trips and extended bus trips for seniors or anyone else who would like to attend.
