Religious Formation Ministries 

Adult Formation Team

 

Develops and supports formation opportunities for the parish community’s initiated adults.  Meetings are normally conducted monthly or bi-monthly as needed on a Sunday evening at 7pm.

-         Team members needed

-         Intergenerational Gathering team members (age appropriate formation session facilitators, logistic coordinators and food preparation and servers)

 

Christian Formation Committee

 

Develops and assesses the parish Religious Formation direction and implementation of the different programs.  Meetings are conducted normally on the first Sunday of the month at 1pm.

-         Committee members needed

 

Children’s Church Team

 

Facilitates the weekly scripture proclamation and reflection for Pre-K to elementary school aged children at our weekend liturgies.  Meetings are conducted on the 3^rd Sunday every other month at 12pm.

-         Adult Team members needed (Background check and VIRTUS required)

-         Youth team members (Confirmation Candidates and older - Background check if age 16 or above and VIRTUS over age 18)

 

Confirmation Formation Team

 

Facilitates the two year process of forming Catholic teens normally in the 10^th and 11^th grade for reception of the final sacrament of initiation.

-         Catechist team members needed (formation provided using PATHWAYS)

-         Confirmed Teen Peer leaders needed

-         Adult fully initiated Sponsors needed (Background check and VIRTUS required)

 

Religious Formation for Children and Youth

 

Age appropriate for Pre-Kindergarten to 9^th grade.

-         Catechists (adults and Confirmed teens) and catechist aides (adults and Confirmation Candidates and Confirmed teens) needed for the formation conducted on the 1^st, 2^nd and 4^th Sunday of the month.  Pre-school and Kindergarten are conducted during the 8:30 and 10:30 am liturgies.  Grades 1-8 are conducted at two sessions (12:30 to 2:00pm and 4:30 to 6:00pm); 7:00 to 8:30pm for 9^th grade.  Formation provided for catechists and aides using PATHWAYS; Background check and VIRTUS are also required.

         

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) Formation Team

 

Facilitates the formation process for those not baptized, or those coming from another faith experience or those never formed in the Catholic faith to receive the sacraments of initiation.

-         Catechist team members needed (formation provided using PATHWAYS)

-         Fully initiated Sponsors needed

 

Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC) Formation Team

 

Facilitates the formation process for children and youth, ages 7 to 16, who have not been baptized or those not formed in the Catholic Christian faith or those coming from another faith experience or baptized Catholic and never formed in their faith.

-         Catechist team members needed (formation provided using PATHWAYS; Background check and VIRTUS also required)

-         Young people peer leaders needed

 

Sacramental Preparation Team

 

Facilitates the formation and preparation for the reception of the Sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation/First Eucharist, and Matrimony.

-         Baptism Team members (formation provided)

-         Reconciliation/First Eucharist Team members (formation provided using PATHWAYS)

-         Marriage Team members (formation provided)

 

Safe Environment Team

 

Assesses and develops the Safe Environment procedures for the parish to ensure we are in compliance with diocesan directives.  Meetings are conducted bi-monthly on a Sunday at 1pm.

-         Team members needed (Background check and VIRTUS required)

 

Vacation Bible School (VBS) Team

 

Facilitates the one week summer program of continued faith formation of Pre-K to Elementary age children.

-         Adult Team members needed (Background check and VIRTUS required)

-         Teen Crew Leaders needed (Background check if age 16 or above and VIRTUS over age 18)

 

Youth Ministry

 

Facilitates building community in a faith live experience for teens.

-         Youth Advisory Team (YAT) members

o      Adult leaders needed (Background check and VIRTUS required)

o      Youth leaders (Background check if age 16 or above and VIRTUS over age 18)

o      High School Youth Group

o      Middle School Youth Group

-         Summer Workcamp adult coordinators and volunteers (Background check and VIRTUS required)
