High School Formation to Include Confirmation Preparation for 8^th Grade & Above

High School Sessions for 8^th through 12^th grade are usually conducted at least two Sundays a month from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.  The calendar for the coming year is listed below, to include dates for Youth Group gatherings.  Justice-Walking (J-Walking) is our new component for 11^th to 12^th grade confirmed teens. J-Walking is where you walk in the footsteps of Jesus today. Where would we go? Who would we know? How would we grow? Come see at our introduction and family orientation on Sunday, October 2^nd at 3pm.  

To prepare young people for the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation, St Mark has a process in accordance with the new norms established by the Diocese of Richmond.  The formation sessions are incorporated into our High School formation program.  Preparation for the Sacrament is intended for those young people entering the 10^th, but is also open to 11^th and 12^th grade if the sacrament has not yet been celebrated.  To begin the formation program, the Candidate should have participated in religious formation the previous year.   

Confirmation Candidates will participate in a two and a half day retreat at Triple-R Ranch December 2 to 4.  

Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School students will participate in the parish program to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.  This includes participation in the Candidate Confirmation Retreat as the Catholic High Retreat does not replace this St Mark community-building and Confirmation preparing retreat.
