Adult Formation

The community of St Mark is a thriving parish of committed adults and families with the need to continue to grow in our faith and spirituality across all age groups.  A continuing Adult Formation parish program responds to this need to grow.  The Adult Formation Team meets on a bi-monthly basis to plan and schedule appropriate Adult Formation opportunities to support the community.

The Next Full Community Formation Gathering:   May 4th from 4:30 to 7:00pm (close of the Religious Formation Year)

Bible Study:  Adult Formation offers scripture study using the Little Rock Scripture Study series.  St Mark is now hosting sessions on Sunday afternoon at 12:30pm, Tuesday morning at 10am, and Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7:30pm.  We also have available Threshold Bible Study:  a thematic, self-contained Bible program for groups and individuals.

Self-study and continuing online faith formation is available through the Universities of Dayton and Notre Dame.  Both institutions offer courses at a reasonable cost.  Please check their web sites, http://step.nd.edu or  http://vlc.udayton.edu for course listings and registration information.

For those that are catechists “handing on their faith to others” to adults, youth and children, the diocese has developed the “PATHWAYS” program.  “PATHWAYS” is a self-guided and parish facilitated program for standardized certification across the diocese.  The first step in the certification process is the Parish Catechist.  Please see the following web link for more information and to download the self-study guide and response form.

Please contact Deacon Mike or Nancy Hajec for registration with the diocese.
