Adult Formation The
community of St Mark is a thriving parish of committed adults and families with
the need to continue to grow in our faith and spirituality across all age
groups. A continuing Adult Formation parish program responds to this need
to grow. The Adult Formation Team meets on a bi-monthly basis to plan and
schedule appropriate Adult Formation opportunities to support the community. We
began our new 2011 – 2012 Formation year with an Adult Formation session on
Catechetical Sunday, September 18th at 1pm with Fr Jim on the
introduction of the new Roman Missal. We
launch our new Adult Formation year with a focus on “Partnering with
Parents” in the Formation process and the need for “lifelong formation”
for our community. We have offered ongoing adult formation during the
Regular Religious Formation sessions with children/youth at both 12:30pm and
3:00pm to look at an introduction of the Bible. We
have Bible Study/Sharing using both the Threshold series by Twenty-third
publications (a thematic, self-contained Bible program for groups and
individuals) and Ascension Press – The Great Adventure of Catholic Bible
Study. Bible
Sharing – is conducted on Tuesday Morning
– 9:30-11:00 AM and Tuesday Evening - , as well as Sunday Afternoon -
at 12:30 Mass. Home Bible Study – if
you’d like to join a group, but just can’t seem to make it every
week. Let us know what book of the Bible you’d like to study and we can
order it for you. It’s never too late to join a bible study group.
