St. Mark's Parish Council Review with
                       "We Walk by Faith"
    Introduction

The St. Mark Parish Council, at the direction of the Diocese of Richmond, has reviewed a document entitled We Walk by Faith.  The purpose of the document is to help each parish on their journey to encounter Jesus Christ in word, worship, community, and service.  The information and questions in the document serve as a tool to help each parish self-evaluate their journey.

Step One

The bulletin inserts provided by Parish Council’s reflection and answers to the questions on the four sections  were one way to convey the council’s assessment and encourage feedback from members of the community.  The current drafts below will hopefully stimulate thought by parish members into those areas of the parish where enhancements can be considered.  It may also provide motivation for members to volunteer in areas that need more involvement from the community.  You are still welcome and encouraged to email your comments to the Parish Council through the Webmaster  or submit them in the suggestion box at the Parish Council table in the Great Hall or give them directly to any Parish Council member.  Note:  This step is now complete.

 Word          Worship          Community          Service

     Step Two

After we receive feedback and suggestions from the parish, a written survey will be conducted to take into account all parishioners views.  A complete parish self-assessment report will then be forwarded to the Diocese in preparation for a visitation by the Bishop.  Note:  The survey was completed in January.
