Updated  ~ January 15, 2021

Dear St Mark Family,

This weekend we celebrate the closing of the Diocesan Bicentennial Year, with special Mass settings and readings associated with the Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church. Please download the Sunday Worship Aid for the different readings and songs.

Our Daily Mass schedule continues with Tuesday at 8:30am, Wednesday evening at 7pm, with rosary at 6:30pm and Thursday at 8:30am. In observance of Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Day the parish office and church will be closed on Monday, January 18th. The church will reopen during the coming week, Tuesday to Thursday from 9am to 3pm - for private prayer and devotion.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO SIGN UP OR CALL THE PARISH OFFICE if you are attending the weekend Masses! Our normal Weekend Mass times continue at - Sat at 5:30pm, then on Sunday at 8am and 11am, with the virtual Mass at 10am. When you come to Mass PLEASE comply with wearing of a mask properly and PLEASE WILLINGLY follow the direction of the ushers when arriving at church and during the Mass. We will continue to seat with safe distance in mind and please stay socially distant during Communion and on exiting. Thank you for your patience and concern!

The Parish Office will be open this Sunday from - 9am to 1pm, closed Monday, then open Tuesday to Thursday - 9am to 3pm. Please wear a mask when visiting and be able to answer the 4 health questions.

Our Religious Formation Office is offering a wonderful Adult Formation opportunity as we head into the Season of Lent with the FORMED program called "SEARCH". We never stop learning about our faith and growing in our relationship with God through the person of Jesus Christ. Please consider participating either physically or virtually by signing up on our parish website!

From Jan 21st to the 29th, the Justice and Peace Committee and the Knights of Columbus will be conducting the Novena for Life in the main church at 6:30pm each night. COVID precautions still apply.

Sad news to report regarding members of our St Mark Family, Gil Flores Jr, brother of Debbie Paras, passed onto eternal life last weekend. We will celebrate his life with the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, January 20th, at 11am. Please keep the Flores and Paras family in your prayers!

Also, long time parishioner and active in many aspects of ministry in our parish, Alex Cooke passed onto eternal life yesterday. As soon as funeral arrangements are made we will publish that information. May Alex rest in peace! Please keep his wife Vicky in your prayers.

We also learned this morning that Ricky Andrade Sr., father of parishioner, Ricky Andrade Jr. (Parish Council member, lector and usher) passed late last night. Please keep the Andrade family in your prayers as well.

Please be attentive to these emails, our parish website, our Facebook page and our Flocknote messages for updated information during this time, along with our parish bulletin in paper here or online. Remember "God is here and so are we!"

Stay safe and God bless, Deacon Mike
