Saint Mark Parish Updates
Updated  ~ September 10th, 2021

Dear St Mark Family,

This coming weekend at St Mark  we celebrate the 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time!  We also remember, in a special way, all those who died and were affected 20 years ago with the impact of the 9/11 tragedy - from those that died at Ground Zero in NYC, the Pentagon and in Stony Creek Township near Shanksville, PA, to  include the first responders and their families and those in the military that went on to serve in Afghanistan over the next 20 years in response. Let us lift them all up in prayer!

As a reminder for those who attend any of our Masses: Social Distance is not enforced and you will be invited to sit where you are comfortable. For those that do not yet feel comfortable, we still have the Great Hall overflow set-up available during Mass with distribution of the Eucharist.  Masks for those fully vaccinated are not required, those unvaccinated should wear masks.  We ask you to be responsible, comfortable and safe, especially with the rise of COVID.  Wear a mask if that makes you more comfortable.

We are looking to begin Religious Formation on Sunday, September 19th, with a Family Mass at 1pm on Catechetical Sunday, followed by a Catechist meet and greet. Formation Sessions will begin on Sept 26th for grades 1 to 12. So far, the registration has been low, even compared to last year.  We ask families to remember the importance of faith formation for their children and even for themselves, especially as we try to cope with and live in the world of today!

So don't miss out - you can register on our parish website -  Also sign up for the Family Mass on the 19th at 1pm.

We will be having two special events in the following week:

- On Wednesday, Sep 22nd, at 7pm, we will have a special Mass of Remembrance for all who have passed during the Pandemic.  We have intention cards for those we wish to remember on the table and a basket to place them in on the table in the Commons for the next two weeks.

- On Friday, Sep 24th, at 6pm - Parish Life is hosting a pizza and movie family night in the Great Hall.  A great time to gather as a parish family!

Daily Masses this week will be celebrated on Tuesday and Thursday at 8:30am and Wednesday at 7pm, with rosary at 6:30pm.

Sunday Coffee and Donut Hospitality continues after both the 8:30am and 10:30am Masses - come by and meet your parish family members. If you can assist with this Hospitality Ministry, serving coffee and donuts, please contact the parish office.

Thank you always for your continued support! Remember "God is here and so are we"!
God bless, Deacon Mike
