Dear St Mark Family,

Welcome to the new Liturgical Year C and the celebration of the First Sunday of Advent!

We would like to remind folks of important ongoing events:

Our beautiful Christmas Trees have arrived and have been set up for our big fundraiser for the year.  Sales start today - FRIDAY 26 NOVEMBER at 1pm.  Hoping for cool weather to keep the trees fresh, and brisk sales to get those same trees off the lot and into a customer's home.  We've got 500 trees to sell.  With good weather and some luck, we should sell out within 10- 14 days. We are great need for a lot manager for this Sunday and next weekend, along with tree sales assistants for this weekend and next weekend!  Please check the volunteer link on the St Mark website to sign up - https://stmarkhelps.ivolunteer.com/treelot_2021.

Next Sunday, Dec 5th, from 2 to 4pm, the St Mark Great Hall will be turned into Bethlehem for the "Miracle of Jesus". This will be a wonderful family event.  Please sign up at the link on the St Mark website - https://vbspro.events/p/events/stmarkchristmas.

We have the Christmas giving trees - both virtual https://giving.parishsoft.com/App/Form/a3e72bdc-b72b-4e19-a2d3-89725f8c7161 and in the Commons.

Weekly Updates:  We have Advent Reflection Materials and our 2022 Calendars in the Commons for your pick-up along with the bulletin.

With the new Liturgical Year - for cost-savings we are transitioning to weekend recyclable Worship Aides with the music included, vice getting the 2022 Breaking Bread Hymnals.  Ushers will be handing them out as you enter and we will have a basket to drop off following Mass, for use at the next Mass.  There are also cardstock Music Propers that we begin to use this weekend (please keep them in the pew pockets).  Thank you for your assistance in facilitating this new method.

Daily Masses remain at the same times this weekend - Tues and Thurs at 8:30am and Wed at 7pm.  The Parish Office will be closed this Wednesday, Dec 1st, for a Staff Retreat.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be celebrated next Saturday, Dec 4th, at 4pm.  We will celebrate our Advent Reconciliation Service with multiple confessors on Thursday, Dec 9th, at 7pm.

This Thursday, Dec 2nd, is the 1st Thursday of the month - we will have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament following 8:30am Mass through 6:30pm, followed by the recitation of the Rosary and Benediction - please sign up for a time at https://giving.parishsoft.com/App/Form/112f7288-5e0a-4883-a600-4658de32a316 on the parish website.
